Asbestos is a dangerous carcinogen. Asbestos exposure may cause mesothelioma and lung cancer. Asbestos poses the greatest danger when it becomes airborne. Demolishing, repairing, or just disturbing suspect materials may cause the asbestos fibers to dislodge and release into the air.
